Welcome to our blog!

Hello, www grammar experts, soon to become short story authors!

Remember to post at least once a week for the first four weeks' worth of assignments. I'm planning to read short stories and write my thoughts, as well.

I'm looking forward to reading all your observations!

Storm On the Mountain

By: Adelaide Wilson Arnold

This story is about a business man who crashes on an abandoned road and how he's saved by two boys and a horse.
Mrs. Arnold did a good job on this story. Although there were a few sections where her story became confusing, the main plot and characters were still easy to follow. Mrs. Arnold didn't do a very good job explaining the setting(s) either, but she still did a great job describing the dialog between characters and the different aspects of each one, such as what type of clothes they wore, what kind of personality they had, etc...
She also did a good job showing the different sorts of emotion that here characters were expirencing, as well as sorts of moods that were apparent at different times. All in all, I think that this story was pretty good; I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend, but it was still fin to read personally. - Paul
