The Necklace... again

In The Necklace, Madame Loisel is very focused on social status. Throughout the story you learn more about her personality. She is "pretty and charming." "She grieved incessantly, feeling that she had been born for all the little niceties and luxuries of life..." She is extremely self centered, only thinking about her self. We also learn that she is not very honest. She could have prevented so many years of pain for her and her husband if she had be honest with her friend.
